A bit about me
"My name is Mark Bell and am standing to be your Conservative candidate for Preston Rural North. I am a professional Engineer registered with the Royal Aeronautical Society and have more than two decades experience in the defence industry. Originally from Newcastle, I moved to Preston in 2002, in the year when Preston was granted city status. Since then I lived in Grimsargh for a decade and now reside in Broughton and I am engaged and involved in the community I would be honoured to represent.
I am a father of three and outside of work, I am a keen runner and I have previously served on both Grimsargh and Broughton Parish Councils. I also act as a coach at nearby Longridge Town Juniors Football Club.
I am keen to listen and work hard to ensure our community is appropriately represented at Preston City Council and I am passionate about the current challenges we all face, particularly cost of living, ensuring safe communities where we can live and work and equal opportunities for all."
